[Request] Stand alone appimage.

The web 2.0 is locking down.

It's only a matter of time before we will need an alternative to even gittea.

An appimage and windows.exe will help adopt radicle.

the binaries are hosted by us and we do want to move towards decentralized hosting of binaries -- however, that's further down the roadmap.

Just tried that and it's working really well so far. Great design ! I'm so used to appimages being easier then flatpacks, snaps or building from source.

Two issues,

• i'm rate limited from signing up for zulip for the next hour, not sure what i did.
• when i run rad auth after install i get: rad command not found. I'm in Tails Os,

@llamabyte did you resolve this? It's probably because you didn't source your profile like the installer asks you to do.

I just did ! What i think happend was :

It read .profile and halted at the 'ln' for a previously deleted appimage. A conflicting file was also symlinked in .config to a deleted appimage. or I also have a symlink to .profile in TailsData_unlocked/dotfiles/.profile

once the file was deleted in .config it worked. still not sure why it would conflict with an unrelated program. The .profile was also updated to remove the 'ln' to the deleted appimage.

Still getting rate limited out on zulip though, so i can't participate there.
