Adding a class #63

So if I don't ant to change the way map providers works and I'm writing in VB.net, do I just add a class file and convert code? I'm confused on how this works. I installed all the .dlls but I don't see any class files.

So if I add a class file how do I reference it? Say I want to include my API? Sorry a little new to this obviously.
