docs: comparison to Crossplane #7740

Open lasse16 opened 1 month ago

Hi, I am having a look at Radius and other similar tools. There is a section about Crossplane, but it talks more about how both can be used in conjunction.

From my understanding, which can be and probably is very wrong, both tools are similar in their purpose. Both the Radius control-plane and Crossplane run from inside a cluster and maintain a set of resources, automatically spinning up and down resources to avoid any drift.

The main difference is that Radius includes the abstraction layer of Applications so that developers dont need to handle Recipes/infrastructure templates. This also allows for an application graph.

Again this is from my understanding, so I am here asking for corrections of my understanding and maybe improvement of that section in the docs.

Many thanks!

Oh and Radius can potentially be run outside of Kubernetes in the future.
