Just a few recommendations (in the final hour)

ticketholder > stakeholder in anticipation for broader ticket ownership (ie: ticket splitting) as well as the reiteration of 'stake' and it's association with holding tickets.

"current data" - current isn't really a word to stand the tests of time - this current data figure loosely thrown around is based on the voting time based on the target pool size ~28-31 days.

removal of some of the heavy terms ("there are a time and a place"), simply not appropriate for the first educational video in my honest opinion.

re-structuring of the introduction for better flow and emphasis of hybridised system with less "bitcoin-bashing" as there are far worse offenders out there.

ending - reworked - should result in a snappier delivery to wrap things up.

Other than that though - looking good - it's getting there.

Stakeholder is a very broadly used concept in the social sciences. It can refer to any participant in the governance process, for example developers and exchanges are Decred stakeholders as well. Instead of misusing this term, I'm in favor of keeping Ticket holder. It's more accurate as well, people who own split tickets shouldn't get confused that they have a whole vote.

Well put, I've reimplemented the original wording in this regard.

Interesting, how would you approach the term usage around those that do hold split tickets (for future reference)?

What about partial/split Ticket holders?

kyleFirethought commented 5 years ago

"Keep it simple"- I guess. 💯 split > partial IMO.

When in doubt, I would go with the original version since it has been carefully reviewed by multiple people (including Richard Red and Dave).

Thanks for the input guys. I agree with the proposed changes to the beginning and ending paragraphs as well as removal of 'current data'. I will make those changes.
