Hi @onedr0p, can you resubmit the PR to the devel branch instead of master? Happy to take this, but like to funnel everything through devel first. And I'm hoping to get the next version out soon now that I've got a little more free time.

Actually, looks like I can change the branch, wasn't showing me that option at first. I just need to verify the extra commits that were pulled in won't cause any issues.

Merging into devel branch. Will need to preserve the change when looking at whether or not we can shift back to Alpine, as the switch to Debian increased the container size notably, but things are much more stable.
