Can i install catalina on my ASUSTeK model: P8P67 v: Rev 1.xx ?

rafaelmaeuer commented 3 years ago

Most of your specs look promising, but the gpu probably won't work: https://dortania.github.io/GPU-Buyers-Guide/legacy-gpus/legacy-nvidia.html#fermi-series-4xx-5xx

I am trying to use open core to make boot able my usb from Catalina. I am using gibMacOs to get catalina and make usb boot . SO it is possible to disable my nvidia from opencore config and use cpu (Processor Graphics) ?

tazik561 commented 3 years ago

Anyway I am trying to install Catalina on my desktop by open core .After booting USB by gibMacOs I added some configuration on config.plist. When i am trying to boot my system i got this error: https://pasteboard.co/JEyB1Mb.jpg I see two errors:

1- GV wake-failue 2-WL:PWLFNV 3- LocHB 71B4903C-14EC-42C4-BDC6-CE1449930E49

I don't know this is because of my nvidia or something else. I attached my EFI config .

To solve 1 problem, according oc suggestion, I added VerifyMsrE2.efi into tools an after running with usb i saw this: https://pasteboard.co/JEBoSQz.jpg

To solve 2 problem, according oc suggestion I added RebuildAppleMemoryMap to false and SetupVirtualMap to true but I still have a problem. I tried for one week but I really stuck here. do you have any suggestion?

I am sorry, I have no experience with Open Core so far...

rafaelmaeuer commented 3 years ago

After updating this repo to OpenCore, I suggest you to give it another try...

Unfortunately my motherboard don't have any monitor output (DVI or VGA) so seems when installing progress is begin to start , my monitor lost connection because my VGA doesn't supported by Catalina .Thanks bro
