currently you have to manually save out the extension the first time, and then set the reference to the file. From there you should be able to edit the externalized file in a text editor and Touch will update / refresh and recompile the extension when you save in the text editor.
I think that's covered in the read-me, but if it's not clear I can update the documentation here so it's less ambiguous.
Ah! Reading a bit further down the readme does cover that! Could be a tiny clearer up toward the top but it’s my bad for not checking through the full thing. Thanks!

Hi - loving this tox. But when I go and make a new component, with a new extension, tag it accordingly, and save, the corresponding text dat is not externalizing. Am I missing a step here or is that feature not currently supported?
