This would be even more awesome with a front-end besides github's.

I may in fact start working on such a thing.

Well, Github does have "GitHub Pages," and there is integration with a template system called Jekyll. I've resisted this for some time, but perhaps I need to rethink by opposition. Thanks for the suggestion.
