Browsing playlists on the phone would be very useful!

Thanks for the good app. It's so handy. I would totally love some playlist
action,
though.

Yep, playlist support would be very welcome!

Would it be possible to also include a shut-down command for the library's
host? I use a Mac Mini that i often
use just for audio. To shut it down after a listening session I now have to
make a VNC connection to it. It would
be great if the Tunes Remote app could put it to sleep for me.

Great app! I use it almost daily.

Just stumbled across this app and considering i use MediaMonkey and absolutely
love
my HTC Desire, imagine my excitement! Please incorporate playlist support and
this is
then the BEST app i would have, at the moment it is only great! ;-)

Just installed this app using monkey tunes and media monkey, just about perfect
apart from not being able to use playlists which I rely heavily on. I Hope this
will be added soon.

Any update as to when the playlist feature will be enabled? I noticed this
"issue" was created in Dec of 2009 but nothing has happened since.

The original author seems to have abandoned this project. I have maintaining
it just in "bug fix" mode right now.

He told me he had plans to add more features to this product when he got the
time it just has been over a year since I have last spoken to him.

Ah, I see! Well, thanks for the update. Hopefully he will eventually have more
time to work on app feature or maybe someone else with the correct skill set
could start developing their own.

This has been implemented by a.wilco. Please grab the latest TunesControl.apk
from the Downloads area!

I downloaded this update to get the playlist function but after installing the
update, I can't connect to itunes at all. My android device never appears in
itunes. I took the same steps to pair as I did before, I've tried restarting
itunes and the forgetting all parings in tunes remote and itunes. Any
suggestions?

randomutterings, we think the latest JMDNS library broke the Bonjour pairing. we are working with the JMDNS team to resolve it.

Also there is a new project for this and on Android Market called TunesRemote+

luca.sperandeo, you mean you can see the playlists but when you select one it is not loading in MediaMonkey? I can look into that but I thought I had tested it here and it works. I will double check.
