This change set includes a chunk of changes in existing PR's, including:

Docker README Table Fix
Spelling corrections
Support for a new MESSAGE_TYPE option to flip between scm and idm
Making the DEBUG option consistent with other settings, and adding additional debug messages
Linting tools applied for Python and Markdown
