PHP is not being parsed by your web server. Make sure that PHP is installed. -

Interesting...
Just tired with IE9 and it works...

Why the Error with Mozilla Firefox 10.05 ESR?

That is strange. What is "ESR"? It works in Firefox 11.0

Maybe you are installing phpvirtualbox in a users' public_html folder, with 
mod_userdir. In that case, you should edit 
/etc/apache2/mods-available/php5.conf, commenting some lines (you'll find them 
easily) and restart apache server.
