Glad to hear from you. I can't use guru. Let me know your experience in development. I heard several times you are top there. What do you major in? Which fields are good for marketinng? I wonder how I can earn money if I go abroad.

Nice to hear from you too. Hope your health got some better and hope everyone is doing well.

I am not top. My expertise is web development.

If you come abroad, you can earn much money with computer vision technologies. But you need to have firm knowledge on machine learning and python and solid mathematical technologies. Mathematics Faculty members are very good with this area here.

Hello Marek Kowalski I am an engineer who studies face recognition technique, especially face alignment method. I read your paper "Deep Alignment Network: A convolutional neural network for robust face alignment" and understood the main idea, got source code from github "https://github.com/MarekKowalski/DeepAlignmentNetwork/tree/master/" But I have some questions and I want your help.

  1. According to the paper each stage of DAN takes three inputs : the input image I which has been warped, a landmark heatmap H and a feature image F. These three items are input of FEED FORWARD NN. In the paper only the method to construct the landmark heatmap is described, there isn't detailed description of how landmark heatmap is used in FEED FORWARD NN. I want to know how landmark heatmap H is used in FEED FORWARD NN.

  2. According to the paper the feature image F is generated from a dense layer connected to the penultimate layer of the previous stage t-1. I want to know detailed description of how the feature image F is generated.

  3. I want to know detailed configuration and architecture of FEED FORWARD NN in DAN.

  4. I want you to provide the paper with more detailed description of DAN if possible.

Hi, Liu. Here is your required answer for the last email. Just arrived.

"Hi,

Sorry for taking a while to answer, I was at CVPR. Below I will try to answer your questions:

  1. The feed forward network is used as input together with the other two images (they are fed to the network as three channels). The three images are then together processed by the convolutional layers of the DNN. What the layers do exactly depends on their weights, which are determined during training.

  2. The feature image layer consists of 56 * 56 = 3136 neurons. In order to form the feature image this layer is reshaped into a 56x56 matrix and subsequently upscaled by a factor of 2.

  3. This is clearly showed in the paper.

  4. Please be more specific with your questions, you can't reasonably ask me to rewrite the whole paper here for you.
