Bottom panel for electronics enclosure #10

Open lostapathy opened 5 years ago

The electronics enclosure should have a bottom panel to keep stray fingers away from mains wiring.

I am currently running a printed one. I will get the file published for feedback/use by others. Longer-term, this should really be a standard part CNC cut with the other side panels.

I've added "Electro Bottom Panel-Printed Solid.dxf" to

\railcore\parts\ElectronicsBoxZL \railcore\parts\ElectronicsBoxZLT

it's been cut and is on my ZLT

The panel I'm running is at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3634362

It's designed with some stiffening ribs to hold up better as a printed part. I like that it's got ventilation slots in it to allow airflow, but does not have the relatively large opening in the dxf linked above, as that seems like it'd still allow fingers.

In a perfect world we'd get a CNC-cut panel included in the panel kits with a similar design.

Added to parts. Nice one.

Actually, I'm using two blank sides, and the large opening bottom panel has been used with the intent to design a cover for that hole, which allows the z axis steppers, and incorporates the power socket for power into it.

(so when done, they can be a pair)
