Upgrade to 450mm X rails #3

Because longer will fit and more X-travel will result.

If one is just buying "off the shelf" rails, they should definitely do 450mm.

If one is buying premium rails from misumi etc where the cost difference for custom length is minimal, we should probably should recommend people order them to match the x-extrusion length to fill it up. I don't see a downside, and it would prevent ever running carriages past the end of the rail.

FYI, Misumi provide 395,420 and 445mm sizes. The only custom length one need be the Y rail as that needs to be exactly 400mm.

If we can confirm 395mm will work on the Y rail, this will mean Misumi rails can be bought without custom cutting. (I'll go have a look at mine ASAP)

To play devils advocate with you: I don't have an issue here with that. I have stops at each end (which also reduce the amount of X distance on my 400mm rails) and my hotend can still travel the full length of the bed. https://i.imgur.com/bSMXZIV.jpg

Is there a reason you don't have any kind of stop? Would that just be a solution? Do you rails need placing better?

I've been having a good mull about this. I think that the HiWin values should stay as is for cost , and it is what is necessary to do the job. However 420 can be recommended for Misumi (or just as an enhancement) in the docs, with a note explaining it is also a benefit for reasons.
