We would like to make the IgniteSpeak app global by creating a super admin that would replace the rails admin. This means that the current app could be customizable for location, dates, times, and ticketing. Currently, the app is specific to Baltimore and facilitates an event called Ignite Baltimore in which 16 artists, technologists, thinkers, and personalities take the stage to spark new conversations and collaborations across cultures and disciplines.
Making the app customizable would allow anyone to create an event organization website that would accept speaker proposals, allow judges to select proposals, and allow an event coordinator to create programs for the event and turn submitted slides into the appropriate format. The super admin would also be able to create a variety of users and assign them specific permissions for each event.
