RailsBridge Charlotte - targeting 6/16-6/17

Hi folks,

We're in the early stages of planning a RailsBridge workshop in Charlotte, NC on 6/16-6/17. Still looking at potential venues to confirm dates.

We did a Rails Girls event in Charlotte a few years ago with about 20 participants. Aiming for 50 this time.

A few months out:

• [ ] Pick Location
• [ ] Pick Date
• [ ] Pick a curriculum
• [ ] Find a venue and sponsor for the workshop.

Once we have a a venue, sponsors, and organizers, we can:

• [ ] Work together to set an RSVP limit that works for everyone
• [ ] Post the workshop to Bridge Troll
• [ ] Make posters to hang up in prominent places at local colleges/universities
• [ ] Contact digital arts and comp sci departments of local colleges/universities to forward announcement email

Two to four weeks out, we can:

• [ ] Plan a teacher training
• [ ] Order breakfast
• [ ] Order lunch
• [ ] Find a good place for the afterparty.

After the workshop, we can:

• [ ] Retro
• [ ] Party!
