May 3 Front End Workshop #11

Please comment below if you can help out with this workshop! We need:

[x] A venue and sponsor for Saturday, May 3. This workshop covers HTML, CSS, and an intro to JavaScript. Sponsoring the workshop costs between $400 and $900, depending on the size of the workshop.
[ ] Two co-organizers. No experience necessary; checkout the workshop cookbook if it's new to you.

Once we have a venue/sponsor and organizers, we'll

[ ] Work together to set an RSVP limit that works for everyone
[ ] Post the workshop to Bridge Troll
[ ] Post the workshop to Meetup.

One to two weeks out, we'll

[ ] Plan a teacher training??
[ ] Order breakfast
[ ] Order lunch
[ ] Find a good place for the afterparty

It looks like this workshop still needs a venue. @skisulli, do you think you guys would be able to host and sponsor in May?? (No pressure if not.)

They can have the same RSVP, but are a little less expensive to sponsor, because there's not an installfest the Friday before. :wink:

just checking back in, how is the venue hunt faring?

ModCloth should be able to host. I got the go ahead from our CTO for the budget, just need to check with facilities to make sure we are good. Whats the expected number of people?

I think the general number is 100 - 125 total. And we can set more specific RSVP limits, if they have a max.

Oh! I forgot about @ohminimarie! Marie, are you up for organizing this one, or are you busy with the August workshop??

hey @rachelmyers, marie is out of town. But i have found a co-organizer, which I hope that she will be able to organize a couple more this year if needed! Ok, what's next? Can you email-connect me with ryan? and we can get the ball rolling for this weekend. I will publish date today if all squared out. ttys.
