August TBD San Francisco Rails Workshop at MakerSquare

I hosted a Railsbridge event back in March and now that we have a big space to accommodate a workshop and students/instructors interested in volunteering, I thought we could host a Railsbridge workshop.

@sidhene @rachelmyers I just noticed there are other Railsbridge workshops already planned for July. Are those events still happening? We are open to providing space for those or I am open to organizing the workshop for a different month.

Yes, we have other workshops planned for July. I am not certain whether venues for them have been secured or not, but you should be able to find that information in those discussion threads.

Sorry for not getting back to you earlier Shaan, I am preoccupied with the workshop I'm organizing this weekend. Please ping me if you don't hear back from me (or someone) by Weds.

Hi @shahshaan,

I see there are two workshops for July with secured venues. We are all hands on deck for the upcoming workshop this weekend - thanks for your patience. Would you and MakerSquare be able to sponsor venues for August and September instead? =)

As you can see, the dates are flexible, so we can fit them according to what's available for MakerSpace. Let us know what you think, we are very excited to have you and MakerSpace on board.

As of now, our space is mostly open in August and September, so I will post a comment on the other github issues / workshops.

For now, should we hold off on the July Railsbridge?

Actually, I don't see a Rails workshop planned for August. Should we just move this to an August workshop??

That sounds like a good idea. We have front end, mobile, and Oakland for August, but not Rails. Definitely like keeping the history and summary of who's organizing and where it's happening at the beginning of the thread.

There are no August workshops planned right now. It would be great to set a date for this. Sat Aug 16th, WWCode might be having a Ruby study group -- would be good to avoid that date if possible, but not critical.
