mfjenn commented 10 years ago

Are there any organizers in the area available to organize. Am I missing something?

brobertsaz commented 10 years ago

We have a local Ruby group but we are planning on sponsoring and hosting. I have a few Rails devs that I can use for helping as well as interns. Just need a little guidance and we can make this happen.

Can you chat at 10 am CST via Skype? My ID is below. I’ll also be answering a couple of questions from another organizer at that time. you may get something from that, but then you & I can go into more detail that I have already covered with her.

Can we get a call scheduled at another time? I want to get another person on the call. She doesn't have github account but is going to get one so she can jump in on this thread.

rachelmyers commented 10 years ago

We are excited too. I spoke with my boss and he is fully onboard that we will fully sponsor this. Leave the funds for those that need it :)

rachelmyers commented 10 years ago

@brobertsaz, that's awesome! I added you to the organizer team, because I realized you wouldn't have permissions to change or check off the boxes at the top. :white_flower:

Hey the event on BridgeTroll went MIA?????

mfjenn commented 10 years ago

Did someone on the organizing team delete it by any chance? Whoever posted it would have had to delete it, as far as I know. I don’t see it there either, but I have never heard of one just going MIA.

@brobertsaz @mfjenn: Events are left unpublished until they get reviewed. We review events to ensure that they meet minimum standards (date and location listed, description looks sane and mentions outreach to underrepresented groups).

Currently the description on this event still has all the placeholder text from the default template, so it can not be approved until it has more actual detail about the event.

brobertsaz commented 10 years ago

OK, cool. I will get that fixed.

Looks good @brobertsaz, I've published it now.

Also, your email replies are adding a lot of extra email-y metadata to the github issue (https://github.com/railsbridge/organizing/issues/38), is your email client doing something weird?

brobertsaz commented 10 years ago

ok i will just post here ;)

ruchikakumar commented 9 years ago

Hey guys, closing the issue out. I hope the event was a success, we love hearing feedback.
