April 2015 Oakland Workshop at Pandora

Pandora is interested in hosting a workshop and their calendar is pretty open. Starting a thread to get the process rolling.

Giant List of TODOs:

A few months out:

[ ] Pick a curriculum: Rails, Front End, or Javascript.
[ ] Find a venue and sponsor for the workshop. Sponsoring the workshop costs between $700 and $1200, depending on the size of the workshop.
[ ] Find an organizer mentor (if you'd like one).
[ ] Divide the rest of the work among the co-organizers. The workshop cookbook is a great resource for new organizers.

Potential sponsors: Please leave a comment if you're able to host or sponsor! :smile_cat:

A month out:

[ ] Work with the venue to set an RSVP limit that works for everyone
[ ] Post the workshop to Bridge Troll for actual RSVPs
[ ] Post the workshop to Meetup to tell the Ruby community.
One to two weeks out:
[ ] Plan a teacher training
[ ] Order breakfast
[ ] Order lunch
[ ] Find a good place for the afterparty
After the workshop:
[ ] Retro
[ ] Party! :tada:
[ ] Send out feedback survey

Date, topic, organizer, and fiscal sponsorship TBD. I am working on getting them to sponsor both space and food.

Woot - @sidhene , that's great news. Could you please get me in touch with the Pandora community contact? I would like to talk to them about supporting the East Bay's 2015 calendar, but also if we can nail a date down for say a Jan workshop, that would rock! Sameer and I spoke to Lisa today. It went really well. I think the Pandora worshop will probably be around April 3-4. In the mean time, @siruguri and I will be organizing a workshop for Q1 as well.
