Did you end up accidentally re-enabling rootfs verification? If so, you could try powerwashing, the unenrolling and fakemurking again. Then, try to reinstall murkmod.
That could also be an issue with your Chromebook altogether being out of disk space. Check the files app, or fdisk -l
