6 years ago Hmm, I am curious if this is what is my problem as well. It worked on my old 32-bit machine (not sure which version of .NET I had there). I can't get it to work for anything on my new Win 10 box. It has .NET 4.7, I think. It won't let me install 4.5 because a newer version is already installed...

6 years ago Kurt – here’s what my co-worker did to fix the problem. We haven’t done full testing yet, but it appears to be working as expected.
I uninstalled all versions of .Net and then Installed .Net 4.0 and I confirmed the error message went away. I then installed the newest .Net version (4.7.2) on top of the .net4 install and the crystalreportNinja still appears to be working. (I also installed any .Net security/Quality updates). Give it a try now. Also please check any other applications on this server to make sure they work properly and then I will remove my snapshots.

6 years ago Thank you for the reply, but it appears I can't replicate this process. From what I've read, Windows 10 does not allow an uninstall of .NET. It's not listed in the add/remove programs. I tried the Microsoft uninstall tool that supposedly removes all .NET installations, but it doesn't seem to actually uninstall it, as after I ran it and rebooted and tried installing .NET 4 it told me I already had a newer version.

5 years ago The fix was done on a Windows 2008 server – I didn’t try it on Windows 10 workstation.

5 years ago .net 4.7 is backwards compatible with 4.5
Are you sure you are using the correct platform of the CR runtime? If you are running the 64bit platform of ninja you should have the 64bit CR runtime installed. Also the CR runtime version should match what ninja was compiled for, which is currently 13_0_20
I'm able to run on old production machine where .net4.5 is latest rev. However, I can't run on test machines running 4.6 or 4.7. I get the same error as the Running on 64bit Windows 10 thread below.
