Compilation failed with vala 0.8.0 #4

A small patch to fix compilation errors with 0.8.0: http://www.valaide.org/vala-0.8.0.patch

Be carefull, this patch breaks compatibily with vala 0.7.x

I remember having this fixed in my local branch. forgotten to push it. will do it when I am back to my laptop. vala 0.7.11 have severe memory corruptions on structs, thus breaking the back compatiblity is a must anyways.
