Setting Ad-Hoc Mode Failed

Which device (manufacturer, type)?
   Samsung Stratosphere (SCH-I405)
Which firmware is installed?
   (2.3.5)
What version of wireless tether are you using?
    I have tried both 3.1 Beta 7 and 2.0.7
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.start the app
2.tap to start tethering
3.as it start says to check log.

What is the expected output? 
for it to start without issue
What do you see instead?
a failed log message

Mine does this as well, using 2.0.7. But tethering still works with both 
Windows and Ubuntu.

I tried 3.1 Beta 7 as well, and it also worked. But.... It didn't have the 
usage stats at the bottom of the window, which i like, so i reverted.

I tried both 2.0.7 and 3.1 beta 7 and I still get ad-hoc mode "failed." How did 
you get your's to work?
