Empty SSID in iwconfig - Githubissues

Which device (manufacturer, type)?
LG Optimus S

Which firmware is installed?
Quattrimus ROM (AOKP)

What version of wireless tether are you using?
3.2-beta2

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Start wifi using netd (worked on stock ROM but had restart issues)
2.Appears to start tethering but no SSID is broadcast
3.Tried several different profiles/methods

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Just trying to get this working i
It doesn't appear to broadcast the SSID

Please provide any additional information below.

Following the steps from some other post I ran a ./iwconfig and get the 
following results

Using Generic ICS/JB (wlan0) profile and either Netd(master) or 
Netd-Ndc(master)
