Which device (manufacturer, type)?
Samsung Galaxy S3 - Verizon
Which firmware is installed?
4.1.1
What version of wireless tether are you using?
3.2 beta 2
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Open wifi tether
2. Click on icon to start tethering.
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected output would be a wireless network becomes available for device to
connect to. No networks of the name in the settings become available.
Please provide any additional information below.
Wifi tether looks as if it successfully starts. I get a message saying it has
been granted superuser permissions. I check multiple devices capable of getting
a wifi signal, laptop, tablet and neither device ever sees the tethers'
network. I had used this on 4.0.4 in the past with spotty results. Sometimes I
would have to restart my phone multiple times to get a network to come up. I
have tried that with my issue now, but get nothing no matter how many times I
reboot my phone.

Read Issue 1635, Comment 111. It describes a fix for the Sprint GS3. I tried it
and it worked on my VZW GS3 with rooted stock 4.1.1.
