Please provide any additional information below.

I'm using a Samsung Epic Touch 4g (the Sprint version of the Samsung Galaxy S2)
with a Mac running 10.6.8. WiFi Tether used to work just fine, but it no
longer works with this setup, possibly because of the new ROM I'm using, which
is a sextape early leak of the FK23 version of the official Sprint JB 4.1.2
update for this phone.

I have performed extensive testing, as can be found in the attached Excel file,
containing all combinations of WiFi Tether settings. But I found no
combination of settings that resulted in the SSID showing up on the Mac. For
each of the tests, I used the latest/greatest experimental version of WiFi
Tether, 3.3-pre2 (WiFi Tether- TrevE Mod), with WiFi-Encryption disabled and
Access Control Enabled. I had tried some of the same tests using the beta
version and the last stable version, but received similar results.

Please look into this and advise if/when we can expect a fix. I've noticed
others with the same problem in the Groups discussions. I've been enjoying
this great software for well over a year and am now really missing it!

Thanks so much!

Just realized that since this is a Sprint ROM leak, maybe they disabled the
hotspot feature in the OS. I see mobile network sharing over USB or Bluetooth,
but no hotspot feature. I'll check some other boards for this possibility, but
maybe someone else can also confirm?

I found the fix: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2027788

Turned out to be compatibility of the WiFi Tether app version for me, as I had
already Frozen Sprint Connection using Titanium Backup. The app version
downloaded from that XDA thread, and the settings described in step 7 resolved
my tethering issue.
