Which device (manufacturer, type)?

Samsung Galaxy S2 Epic Touch 4G

Which firmware is installed?

4.1.2 (JellyBean)

What version of wireless tether are you using?

3.20beta2

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Launch Wifi Tether
2. Start Tethering
3. Attempt to join client device

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

I expect the client device to be able to join to the wireless hotspot (via
tethering).

Please provide any additional information below.

Client device continually reports unable to join network.

I am running CM10 (4.1.2) using version 3.2-beta2 of this app with the
following settings:
device profile: Samsung Galaxy Nexus (CDMA/LTE)
setup method: auto
wifi driver reload

no issues.
I had to back up to this configuration because I can't find the sweet sauce mix
that works with CM10.1 (4.2.1)

A little confused.
Are you saying you're using the Epic 4G Touch with those settings and it's
working?
The app worked fine on my S2 until I updated from ICS to Jelly Bean.

I am telling you with those settings 4.1.2 works. Same settings on 4.2.1 do NOT
work. There is lots of talk on the web about how 4.2* tether is broke. If you
are running 4.1.2 as you said, your S2 (e4gt) should work with the settings I
listed.

Just tried those settings... No dice. Client devices still unable to join the
network. I confirmed using 4.1.2.

No. No fix yet. However, I am using the Sprint hotspot app (I had to
activate the service on my account) and it is working fine...
Technically it's possible (everything is possible), I just don't think
Wifi tether app has figured out how to support it under Jelly Bean.

I'm still waiting for a fix myself. I'd hate to go back to ICS just for
tethering to work but it's looking at that way since there still isn't a fix
for this.

Here's the situation i can tether from my g.nexus to my nexus 7 tablet but not
to my ipod touch 4th generation. So it's not a problem of tethering from the
android device but more of the configuration of the touch...any pointers ?
