ASCII Characters in WEP Key #323

Which device (manufacturer, type)?
HTC G1

Which firmware is installed?
CyanogenMod 4.2.15.1

What version of wireless tether are you using?
2.0_pre10

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Enter the WEP key with a whitespace

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Whitespace is a valid ASCII character but is not allowed in the WEP key 
setting. 

Please provide any additional information below.
ASCII table includes all the 128 characters from 0x00 to 0x7F.
