Locks on stop tethering using HTC hero with custom rom.

Which device (manufacturer, type)?

HTC Hero

Which firmware is installed?

Any of the Overclocked 2.1 roms posted on XDA (and perhaps roms using the
kernel from the official 2.1 RUU?  not sure on that one)

What version of wireless tether are you using?

1.6, also tried latest

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Start wifi tether
2.attempt to stop wifi tether
3.Phone locks, must pull battery

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

I can stop wifi tether without a hard lock by using taskiller to end the
program

Please provide any additional information below.

Everyone using the overclocked kernel on the HTC hero is having this issue,
i feel it must be caused by a difference between the overclocked and stock
kernel. Perhaps you would have some insight into the cause of the problem.

Having same issue I am a onsite pc tech and love the function the allowes me to 
use would like to be able to you the wifi tether again

Let me know anything you need to help figure out the issue thats causing this

Check out this thread, A fix was created for the FC on wifi tether stop, and FC 
on incoming phone call, its not the fault of the program, but instead the fault 
of the Overclocking kernel.  I post for fresh/damage based roms will be posted 
on XDA-Developers soon.  What version rom are you running exactly Ferrell?

I am running ALOYSIUS 2.1 as fresh toast does not function on my device at all.

It is only wifi tether that reboots phone no other functions have had this 
issue it says turning off tether then it reboot not even a force close

Ferrell, send me an email, and I'll get you the link to a beta kernel 
update.zip that should fix your problem, but be sure to nandroid first, as I 
have NOT flashed it, I'm not running aloysuis, I'm running hunybun.  But Beezy 
from androidcentral built one that should work for you
