HTC EVO 4G

Tried OMJ 2.1, Cyanogen, Baked snack 1.75

Tried 2.0.5 pre5 through pre9

It works for a bit and then my laptop can't connect. I've tried two laptops,
both work well with my other router and the work wireless.

Power cycling phone can help. Seems marginally more reliable with encryption
disabled.

in the app, change the Channel Frequency. I use channel 1 and have no problems.

Solves the problem for many people.

Looks to be working. Thanks greatly. It is insane that it can't provide this
with a built-in tool or even provide usb tethering with a built-in tool. The
free usb tethering ones do not work over all VPN tools (i.e. the one I use).

Any chance that the market could be given the newer versions and be updated
with this information? Even update the tool to use Channel 1 by default?

I spoke too soon. It had a problem when I started using a CPU intensive
application on the phone. Restarting wifi tether solved it... for now.
