Basically, with the introduction of iOS 5.1, something has changed in the way
that bluetooth events are treated, that produces drops and general slowdown
whan playing games with iCade.
This did happen before, but not so much noticeable. I have a 1st gen iPad, nit
JB, iMame legally downloades form the app store.
It was a fact that playing with the on screen touch controls did give iMame a
better perfomance overall than what yo'd get playing with iCade (bluetooth
connectivity, when lots of buttons are presses, brought some drops)
But now the situation is a lot worse.
I cheched with anither iCade enable game, 'Sideways', that ran smoothly 60fps,
and if you just press lots of buttons on the icade (like when you're with
gun.smoke) it forces drops in the game.
So, nit sure if there's anythin to do about it besides waiting for Apple to
'fix it', but anyway...
Best,
Jorge. (by the way, AMAZING WORK with your iOS port of Mame. :D )
