Joystick 2 Configuration (Robotron 2040, Smash TV, etc...) #162

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Connect SixAxis Controller
2.Coin-Start to Customize Keys from Dip Switch Menu.
3.Configure joystick 2 with right analog stick.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
It adds the right analog stick to joystick to but the left analog stick
is also mapped to it. So both analog sticks become a particular joystick.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Samsung Galaxy S2

Please provide any additional information below.

You should map one stick physically (in mame4droid define keys) as joy up, joy
down, left and right. The other stick as button a,b,x,y. Then you can map one
stick to mame left stick and the other to right left stick in mame input menu.

when I try to map the right stick it shows as dpad_up etc... which means both
sticks represent 1 button. so I'm not sure how to define the other stick as
button a.

I got where you were talking about. the sixaxis settings had dpad settings set
the same for both analog sticks. I changed that. now my only question is
mame4droid only maps for one stick and buttons. will that be covered in the
future?

I was thinking, and I think is already possible. You can map second stick as
player 2 stick. Then, you should enabled player 2 input pressing coin+player 1
up and later start+player 1 up. I have not tested. Tell me if work. Remember
that stick1 and stick2 must return different physically keystrokes before you
do mame input redefine.
