Filtering test cases by owner and #9

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Assign tester to various test suites contained within a test plan
2. select execute tests
3. Select the following fields under filters

Assigned to: tester name from dropdown that has tests assigned to him/her

Result: Not Run
on Specific Build
Build Latest active build

Apply filter

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

I expect to see only test suites and under them tests currently assigned to the
filtered user

What i see is every test suite in the test plan. I have to manually go thru
every test suite and look at the right hand window to see if any test cases
appear for the tester to run. Any suite that doesnt have assigned tests fgor
the tester in question show no tests available in the right hand screen (which
is correct as there are no tests assigned there) But the tester shouldnt see
any test suites listed on the left for which he has no assigned tests. Showing
all the available suites that dont have tests assigned to the user is
inconvenient and painful, especially if you are running a test plan with dozens
or more sub-suites in it.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

testlink 1.9.6
IE 9/10, Chrome
Windows 7
