Deprecate and replace dictionary-based XML representation #9

Would make the code simpler for someone not familiar with the mini-DSML
(domain-specific-markup-language :P) I use for XML; if I just switched to
using ElementTree everywhere.

This should go in 0.2

Documentation still needs updating,  but "DictTree" representation has been 
done away
with so closing this issue.
