dateSelected event #378

I am using datepicker inside a calendar to switch the calendar date.
In the calendar I also have a button to navigate next and previous month.
When I navigate through the calendar buttons I also set the datepicker date
using function dpSetSelected.

Is it possible to set the date without triggering the dateSelected event using 
a function dpSetSelected?. As this cause a continues loop.

And also it is possible to show the select box to select months and date.
