Relief Camp Maps with Critical details #421

Subject of the issue

Relief camp tagged and viewed in google maps with following details:

  1. Title/Address of relief camp.
  2. Image(s) of/from Relief Camp.
  3. Contact Number(s).
  4. Number of People Accommodated.
  5. Food Availability.
  6. Food in transit status [Estimated time of arrival]
  7. Requirements, with priority tags.

It seems control room will take a bit more time to collect exact details. We have over 3000 relief camps FYI hence may start off with crowdsourced data from Google for now.

Not all are updating gps co-ordinates. We have to manually fix this https://keralarescue.in/relief_camps/?district=

We've started a slack channel called #relief-center-site to work on the data gathering part of this task. For initial work a group of us felt that going lower-tech and just making shared google spreadsheets could be something to start with. One file per district, and in each file, one worksheet per camp. The camp's sheet's write access would be given to lead volunteers at the relief camp or volunteers keeping in constant touch with them. They could update all the info mentioned above constantly in their own sheet.

A priority is to enable instant updating from the camp's side with minimal headache. Updating a shared google sheet would be relatively fast and allow for flexibility at initial stage. After initial stages more formalization may become possible.

Please feel free to join in and take it in other directions. We've only started with trying to collect the camps' details together.
