With that said, Launchy also supports Linux (be forewarned the Launchy Linux port it is pretty hairy -- I suspect it was the porter's first time dealing with Unix; I have a fork of a fork in https://github.com/rakslice/launchy that reworks some of the actually broken stuff), so it could be worth looking into making this available there.
