This is a feature request

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Ell-2013-08-19-r283 on Ubuntu

Please provide any additional information below.
Can you please update the documentation to demonstrate how to deal with 
comments in a language?  Or if there is no means of dealing with comments (i.e. 
an expression that should always be discarded where ever it appears in the 
stream) then could you please make such a mechanism available in Ell?
