Improve the shelf views #52

Currently a shelf view shows the list of books arranged by a certain criteria
(title, author, tags). While the list of books isn't long it's great. But what
happens when you have +100 books? Scrolling down to the "P" could be a pain...

I think it would be useful to have an index with letters (0-9, A, B, C... you
know the letters :-P), so that you can jump to a specific letter.

Maybe, if we feel creative, we can make the index a little more intelligent:
only show when there's more that N books, show letter intervals to save space
if there aren't too many books of a single letter, etc. Or maybe not.

Good ideas!

I intend to take a hacking tour of the shelf plugins like I did with the
bookstores, so keep the ideas coming :-)

I am making a general UI hack/review in the Issue52 branch, including the
mentioned thing about the letters.
