I am unable to get the preview of the image with the code given here.
could any ony help.

I saw it working several months ago on IE8, but it seems that MS released a 
patch in the meantime that makes 
the value of of the field change to a fake path (literally, see screenshots 
here :

If you add your site to the IE8 trusted sites list the preview will work.
