Just finished assembling my board, everything is working correctly and scaling is definitely sharper when using it instead of my TV's built in one. 240p games looked great to me but 480i and 480p looked weird. I installed the 240p test suite on my Wii and noticed the horizontal lines are sharper than the vertical lines (even in 240p, https://imgur.com/a/6S5oEta). The 240p test suite overall doesn't look bad when comparing 1080p scaling vs pass through, but 480p Wii menus and games look really weird, they have this pixelated look (https://imgur.com/a/eJIIdMC), which is fixable by enabling the line filter in the scanline menu. Text outline/stroke, specially, in some situations, seems to cut off at the top and look weird when moving.
