Just giving an update. I reflowed the RGB bridges and the display was still pink. Disconnected the Clock Gen, still pink. Removed the GBS and most mods and still pink. So, basically this has nothing to do with the GBS Control mod which leads me to believe that the board is actually frazzled somehow.
So off I go to order a new GBS board!
Before I close this, has anyone ever experienced this before? Is it possible for a VGA to HDMI to fry a board or could it be that something just broke at the exact moment I connected the dongle?
It's possible that something fried, but first I'd thoroughly inspect the analog inputs. It's going bad before the ADC unit in the ASIC, otherwise the other input wouldn't work fine.

Yeah I've inspected the board and it looks superficially fine to me so I think something got a bit frazzled! With everything removed even the GBS 8200 OSD had the pink tint too. Would that still be pre ADC?
The reason I tried the dongle is because every single VGA to HDMI dongle I've tried so far converts the output to limited range so blacks get crushed, playing horror games is a nightmare (hehehe).
Sounds like a problem too difficult to remote debug :p

That's ok, I'll just grab a new board as they're fairly cheap - the beauty of the GBS project! Thanks for replying though Rama, appreciate it!
Hi all! I've been using my GBS without much issue for about a year now. I tried a different VGA to HDMI dongle yesterday and the picture was suddenly pink. I chalked it up to the converter itself and went back to chaining it into my OSSC but found the image was still pink.
Since then I've reflashed the firmware and inspected the soldering and everything seems fine.
Before I pull out the soldering iron to start disassembling things, does anyone have any idea what may have happened? Is it possible the dongle has fried the board somehow?
Weirdly enough, trying the component output gives a normal coloured but dark image (as expected).
Thank you!
