I assembled everything and tested it and worked great. Designed and printed a case and once installed in the case it stopped working. No signal and get the “GBS Board not responding” error.
I found a loose solder connection on the scaler pin that runs to Clock0. Fixed that but no joy. I started to think I broke the pin. Ordered a new GBS board and swapped everything over along with power rail mods and such and have the exact same issue. I also noticed the LED on the ESP8266 is shutting off nearly instantly after powering.
I found some posts where people had issues on the SCL/SDA connections that fixed it. I replaced those connections and still the issue persists.
