Using PlayStation 2 USB for power #387

In my research for repairing my faulty build, I found a comment mentioning they use their TVs USB port to power their GBS Control. I was wondering if it would be safe to use the USB port on the PS2 to power the GBS control, this way the GBS can be powered only when I need it, not all the time.

Ps2 USB amperage is ridiculously low.

Most tutorials for building GBS control recommend 2A PSU.
