Incorrect error messaging - edit command #4

Open ramapriyan912001 opened 3 years ago

Typed a command with a bad date, and got the right error message.

But then typed

edit 4 d/bank

i expect to see a message telling me my command format is wrong, instead it is stuck on the previous msg.

"i expect to see a message telling me my command format is wrong, instead it is stuck on the previous msg." - tester

Hi, we are not sure why you mentioned that the command format is wrong because it is indeed correct. However, "bank" is not a valid date and that is why it is the deadline format that is incorrect :)

Reason for disagreement: The letters c and d are very close together on the keyboard. It is not an insignificant instance for the user to accidentally type in d/ instead of c/.

There should be some degree of input checking to see what kind of error the user is making.

If a user were to make this kind of mistake, then they would be stuck for a long time unable to figure out what exactly they did wrong.
