3D objects not visible at high altitudes #283

1. Place 3D object at a high altitude
2. Attempt to view at reasonable range

The object is not visible

What should this feature enhancement do?
Allow 3D object to be displayed normally at high altitudes.

Are there any currently known workarounds that produce the same, or
similar, result?
If you increase the view range and the scale of the object together
linearly you will be able to see the object.  However, the scale will be
out of wack.

It would be ideal for us to have the near clipping plane set to half the 
"range" when 
using the LookAt camera.  This would provide for large objects at the LookAt 
point.
