Bad behavior on collapse/cartoon at deepest binary split. #113

Open bsmith89 opened 7 years ago

bsmith89 commented 7 years ago

When I select a group one level away from the root (for instance, an outgroup) and press either "Cartoon" or "Collapse", the entire tree is affected, instead of just the highlighted group. It's appears that the opposing group (opposite at the deepest binary split) is also collapsed.

When I 'Collapse' the outgroup that includes Cyanobacteria.

I have this issue too. For a unrooted tree, if put root on a group of branches (reroot), then "Cartoon"/"Collapse" that rerooted group, the whole tree becomes two cartoon. Ps. figtree version is 1.4.3, tested on win 7 and debian/ubuntu xfce4/gnome desktops. figtreebug1
