The work-around for this is to go to Settings > Transmit and change max. mic gain to 39.
I don't know anyone that is using > 40dB of mic gain, but I suppose stranger things have happened.
Most people run with mic gain somewhere between 10 and -40. Indeed, those are very nice settings for max. and min. and make for good resolution on the mic gain slider control.

I assume there is a database check on the allowed values, and I think it is allowed to set the value up to 40dB and you can't go beyond.
