I tried to inspect the mod's source code but couldn't find any timer-related code other than a variable that's set. No sleeps and delays either. No idea how that is implemented.

So the mod made the clock to refresh after one second every time by making the taskbar think it's xx:yy:59 every second. But the delay of one second accumulated some extra time for each such refresh.

When the seconds are part of the time format, the time is updated about once a second. Actually, a bit slower than that. Over the course of less than 2 minutes, the seconds lag behind other precise clocks. Then suddenly, the view catches up and skips almost a second. This repeats all the time.
It only applies to my new computer with Windows 11. On Windows 10, the clock is always in sync (with this mod enabled).
Changing the Windows 11 setting "show seconds in taskbar clock" has no effect on this.
